Overview
While PENSOLE has developed and placed over 500 diverse designers into the footwear industry, there is still so much more raw talent that will be discovered, empowered and released into the 21st Century world of design.

Our Mission
PENSOLE’s Mission is to position the landscape of HBCUs the space to find exemplary talent in all aspects of design. Aligning this mission with our future of work focus became a natural alliance for the success of young talent.

The Problem There are scholastic assets across the 101 HBCUs. From Southern University A&M College Apparel Merchandising & Textile Degree to Delaware State University’s Fashion Merchandising Degree. These are 2 of many examples where industry leaders will find skilled talent as a result of the opportunity afforded through PENSOLE Lewis College of Business & Design.

@Work

PPDG is creating spaces with and for PENSOLEs mission to shine by engaging HBCU Cabinet leaders in briefing sessions. It is equally critical to build awareness with students directly. @Work are developing social media influencers who have massive followers—awaiting an industry-standard approach to their entrepreneurial nature and vision to shape their future. PENSOLE and its work on design for footwear!?! Ha! They are chomping at the bit to light this up.
